Bruce and Bronwyn Hallyburton
Antofagasta, Chile
South American Missionary Society
 |
The Hallyburton's
have been in Chile since 1980. In February 1997 they moved to
Antofagasta, a coastal mining city of 300,000 people, 1,400km north
of Santiago, the capital of Chile. It is on the edge of the Atacama
desert, the driest desert in the world. Bruce, Bronwyn and their 6
children (!) work with both English and Spanish speaking people
there. They have an evangelistic & pastoral ministry in a
Spanish-speaking Anglican church that they have established. They
ask us to pray that the Lord will open doors for the gospel in
Chile.

Ron & Robyne Johnson
Kununurra, Western Australia
Supported by the Bush Church Aid Society
 |
Kununurra is in the far northern
tip of Western Australia. Ron & Robyne Johnson live in Kununurra in Western
Australia where the population is quite transient. They are concerned "to reach out to a younger
generation who are growing up without Christ, while seeking to make sure that the elderly are not
disenfranchised by the many changes in church & culture." |
